Decode Age, a Bengaluru-based longevity science startup, has raised ₹14.48 crore in its Pre-Series A funding round, with the investment led by Dr Krishna Prasad Chigurupati, Chairman and Managing Director of Granules India Limited. The fresh capital marks a significant step forward in the company’s mission to advance data-driven ageing science and personalised health solutions.

According to the company, the newly raised funds will be utilised to scale its scientific research capabilities and strengthen research infrastructure. Decode Age plans to expand its biomarker discovery programmes, deepen its work in multi-omics and gut microbiome science, and upgrade its analytical and laboratory infrastructure to enable more advanced research into ageing biology.

Founded in 2021 by Rakesh Somani, Darshit Patel, and Parth Amin, Decode Age focuses on studying ageing at the cellular and biological level. The startup aims to shift healthcare from reactive disease management to preventive, longevity-focused care, helping individuals improve their healthspan the number of years lived in good health.

The company has developed a portfolio of predictive health tests and science-backed supplements, including an AI-based blood ageing test, comprehensive gut microbiome analysis, and personalised nutrition insights designed to guide long-term wellness strategies.

At the core of Decode Age’s innovation is its in-house research platform, which supports genome-scale microbiome analysis, metagenomics, and advanced biomarker research. These tools are built to deliver data-driven insights for clinicians, researchers, and individuals, enabling deeper understanding of long-term health and ageing trajectories.

With the latest funding, Decode Age is also expanding its scientific and product teams as it prepares to take its research beyond India. The startup collaborates with academic institutions and global research initiatives, including partnerships linked to IISc Bengaluru and international longevity programmes, to generate high-quality ageing and microbiome datasets aligned with global research standards.

The investment reinforces growing interest in longevity science, precision health, and gut microbiome research, positioning Decode Age as a key player in India’s emerging health innovation ecosystem.
