4baseCare, a Bengaluru-based healthtech startup specialising in AI-driven precision oncology, has secured ₹90 crore in Series B funding to expand its comprehensive cancer care platform. The round will fuel deeper AI capabilities for personalised treatment recommendations, nationwide hospital partnerships, and integration with diagnostic labs and genomic sequencing providers to make advanced oncology insights more accessible and affordable across India.
Glimpse:
The ₹90 crore Series B round, announced on January 22, 2026, was led by existing investors with participation from new strategic healthcare funds. The capital will accelerate 4baseCare’s AI platform which combines genomic profiling, clinical data, and real-world evidence to deliver tailored therapy suggestions, clinical trial matching, and outcome prediction while expanding its footprint from major metros to tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The company aims to partner with 200+ hospitals and diagnostic chains by 2027, targeting improved survival rates and reduced treatment delays for Indian cancer patients.
4baseCare, the oncology-focused healthtech startup founded in 2020, has raised ₹90 crore in a Series B funding round to scale its AI-powered precision cancer care platform across India. The round, closed in mid-January 2026, was led by existing investors with strong participation from new strategic funds focused on healthcare and deep-tech innovation. The fresh capital brings 4baseCare’s total funding raised to more than ₹150 crore since inception.
At the core of 4baseCare’s offering is an AI-driven platform that integrates genomic sequencing data, digital pathology, radiology reports, electronic health records, and real-world treatment outcomes to generate personalised insights for oncologists. The system supports key use cases: identifying actionable mutations, recommending targeted therapies or immunotherapies, matching patients to clinical trials, predicting therapy response, and monitoring disease progression. By combining multimodal data with machine learning models trained on Indian patient cohorts, 4baseCare addresses the unique genetic and epidemiological patterns seen in the country where cancers like oral, cervical, breast, and lung dominate and often present at advanced stages.
Early deployments at leading cancer centres in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad have shown promising results: faster therapy selection (reducing time-to-treatment by 30 -50%), higher rates of actionable findings in genomic reports, improved trial enrolment, and better adherence to personalised care plans. The platform is already integrated with several national and regional diagnostic chains, enabling seamless data flow from testing to treatment decision-making.
Co-founder and CEO Karkada stated: “Cancer care in India suffers from delayed diagnosis, limited access to precision tools, and fragmented decision-making. Our AI platform changes that by bringing world-class insights directly to oncologists at the point of care making advanced oncology affordable and actionable even in smaller cities. This funding allows us to scale rapidly and reach the patients who need it most.”
The investment will support several key priorities: expanding the clinician and hospital network beyond metros, enhancing AI models for additional cancer types (including oral, cervical, head & neck, and paediatric cancers), integrating with national digital health frameworks like ABDM, and building partnerships with insurers and corporates for preventive oncology programs. 4baseCare also plans to deepen its focus on tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where specialist oncology expertise remains scarce.
The funding round reflects surging investor interest in India’s oncology tech space, where rising cancer incidence, increasing genomic testing adoption, and supportive government policies create a fertile environment for scalable, outcome-driven solutions.
“Cancer doesn’t wait. Our AI gives doctors faster, smarter insights so patients get the right care at the right time especially in parts of India where every day counts.”
