Vista Imaging, a leading provider of advanced diagnostic services in South India, has partnered with Medikabazaar India’s largest B2B medical equipment marketplace and global imaging leader United Imaging to install and operationalize the country’s first 640-slice AI-powered CT scanner in Hyderabad. The milestone machine, inaugurated on February 27, 2026, represents a major leap forward in diagnostic imaging capabilities available within the country and is now fully functional at Vista Imaging’s flagship centre, serving patients from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and neighbouring states.
The United Imaging 640-slice CT system stands out for its ultra-high temporal resolution, enabling cardiac imaging with sub-millisecond precision even in patients with irregular heart rhythms, as well as rapid whole-body trauma scans that capture critical details in seconds. Integrated AI algorithms perform real-time image reconstruction, noise suppression, and artifact reduction, allowing diagnostic-quality images at significantly lower radiation doses — a crucial advantage for paediatric, oncology, and repeat-scan patients.
