Curebay, a fast-growing Odisha-based healthtech platform, has acquired Saveo’s pharmaceutical distribution arm to significantly expand its presence and capabilities in South India. The strategic move integrates Saveo’s established pharma supply chain network with Curebay’s tech-enabled clinic model, aiming to improve medicine access, reduce costs, and enhance end-to-end care delivery for patients in underserved southern states.
Glimpse:
Through the acquisition, Curebay gains control of Saveo’s pharmaceutical wholesale and distribution operations in key South Indian markets, adding robust supply chain infrastructure, licensed warehouses, and existing partnerships with pharmacies and hospitals. The deal will enable Curebay to offer seamless medicine delivery from its own clinics, integrate inventory management with digital prescriptions, lower procurement costs, and accelerate its clinic rollout in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, while maintaining focus on affordable primary and secondary care.
Curebay, the Odisha-headquartered healthtech company known for its chain of tech-enabled neighbourhood clinics delivering primary and secondary care, has acquired the pharmaceutical distribution arm of Saveo, a leading B2B pharma marketplace. The transaction, finalized on February 27, 2026, marks Curebay’s boldest step yet to vertically integrate its operations and strengthen its footprint in South India, where access to affordable, quality medicines and care remains uneven despite growing demand.
Saveo’s pharma arm brings a well-established network of licensed warehouses, cold-chain logistics, and partnerships with thousands of pharmacies and hospitals across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. By acquiring this infrastructure, Curebay gains immediate scale in procurement, inventory management, and last-mile delivery, allowing it to fulfill digital prescriptions issued from its clinics directly to patients’ doorsteps at lower costs. The move eliminates dependency on third-party distributors in the region, reduces medicine pricing pressure, and ensures faster availability of essential drugs particularly for chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory diseases prevalent in South India.
The acquisition aligns perfectly with Curebay’s mission to build an integrated, affordable healthcare ecosystem. Patients visiting Curebay clinics will now benefit from end-to-end care: consultation, diagnostics, digital prescriptions, and same-day or next-day medicine delivery through the acquired supply chain. The company plans to leverage Saveo’s existing relationships to expand its clinic network rapidly in southern states while maintaining its Odisha-centric model of tech-enabled, doctor-led care at neighbourhood levels. Curebay has committed to retaining key Saveo talent and ensuring continuity of service for existing pharmacy partners during the transition.
Curebay’s leadership emphasized that the deal addresses a critical gap in India’s healthcare delivery: fragmented supply chains that drive up costs and delay access, especially in non-metro areas. By combining Saveo’s pharma distribution strength with Curebay’s clinic operations and digital platform, the group aims to create a more efficient, patient-centric model that reduces out-of-pocket expenses, improves medication adherence, and supports preventive care initiatives. The acquisition is expected to accelerate Curebay’s growth trajectory, with plans to open dozens of new clinics in South India over the next 18–24 months.
This strategic move reflects the increasing consolidation and vertical integration in India’s healthtech sector, where companies are combining care delivery, diagnostics, and pharmacy services to build comprehensive platforms. The deal positions Curebay as a stronger contender in the race to serve India’s underserved populations with accessible, technology-enabled healthcare.
“Access to affordable medicines is as important as access to doctors. By acquiring Saveo’s pharma arm, we’re creating a truly integrated model that brings consultation, diagnosis, and treatment under one trusted roof closer to where people live.”
