Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has approved ₹162 crore for the deployment of 904 mobile medical units under the Sanjeevani project. The initiative aims to expand preventive healthcare, create a statewide digital health registry, and improve last mile access across Andhra Pradesh. The project has already registered over 3.14 lakh people in the Sanjeevani Digital Nerve Centre database.

During a review meeting, CM Naidu directed officials to roll out the Sanjeevani project statewide by July 2026. The mobile units will help conduct medical screenings for over 56.4 lakh people in the coming year, with test results to be shared via WhatsApp within 48 hours. The project is currently operational in Kuppam and Naravaripalle in Chittoor district and forms part of the broader ‘Swarna Andhra Population Management’ initiative.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has given the green light to an ambitious expansion of the Sanjeevani digital health project by approving ₹162 crore for the procurement and deployment of 904 mobile medical units. This significant investment is aimed at strengthening preventive healthcare services and ensuring better reach to remote and underserved areas of the state.

The Sanjeevani initiative focuses on creating a comprehensive digital health registry and enabling data driven care delivery. So far, more than 3.14 lakh individuals have been registered in the Sanjeevani Digital Nerve Centre database. The mobile units will support large-scale health screenings, regular health check-ups, and the maintenance of updated personal health records for citizens.

During a recent review meeting, CM Naidu instructed officials to implement the project across the entire state by July 2026. He set an ambitious target of conducting medical tests for over 56.4 lakh people within the next year and directed that screening results be delivered directly to beneficiaries via WhatsApp within 48 hours. The Chief Minister also emphasized treating public health as a mass movement and encouraged the adoption of preventive practices such as yoga, nutrition, meditation, and pranayama to reduce long-term medical expenses.

The Sanjeevani project is currently being piloted in Kuppam and Naravaripalle in Chittoor district. It will integrate with the broader ‘Swarna Andhra Population Management’ programme, which includes monthly health outreach drives. Officials have also been asked to prepare a comprehensive ‘Andhra Pradesh Health Management Policy’ based on five key pillars, including Sanjeevani.

“In a recent review of the Sanjeevani project, Naidu instructed officials to broaden its implementation throughout the state by July.”
