Boeing India has supported the installation of a new ultrasound system and a digital X-ray unit at AIIMS Rishikesh to enhance imaging capacity and improve diagnostic services. The equipment, inaugurated on April 5, 2026, is part of Boeing’s corporate social responsibility initiative in partnership with Doctors For You and is expected to benefit over 15,000 patients annually.

The advanced diagnostic systems, compliant with Atomic Energy Regulatory Board standards, will help reduce diagnostic delays, improve clinical decision making, and ease patient flow at the institute. The initiative addresses healthcare challenges in Uttarakhand’s hilly terrain and supports AIIMS Rishikesh as a major referral centre for northern India. Boeing India and Doctors For You have collaborated on healthcare projects across 14 states since 2020.
Boeing India has contributed to strengthening healthcare infrastructure at AIIMS Rishikesh by facilitating the installation of state of the art diagnostic imaging equipment. The new ultrasound system and digital X-ray unit will significantly boost the institute’s capacity to deliver faster and more accurate diagnoses, particularly for patients from Uttarakhand and neighbouring states.
This CSR initiative aims to address the persistent challenge of timely diagnostics in remote and hilly regions, where access to advanced imaging often remains limited. AIIMS Rishikesh, a key tertiary care and referral centre, will now be better equipped to handle higher patient volumes with improved efficiency and quality of care.
The systems are fully compliant with regulatory standards set by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board. They are expected to reduce bottlenecks in imaging services, shorten turnaround times, and support clinicians in making more informed decisions. Officials estimate that the upgraded facilities will directly benefit over 15,000 patients every year.
The equipment was formally inaugurated by Salil Gupte, President of Boeing India and South Asia, along with Dr Meenu Singh, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Rishikesh, in the presence of senior officials and representatives from Doctors For You.
