Houston based AI healthtech startup TrialClinIQ has secured $150,000 in pre-seed funding from Caduceus Capital Partners, marking a key milestone in its mission to transform clinical trial recruitment. Alongside the investment, the company has also joined the Caduceus LAUNCH Digital Health Accelerator and opened a larger $1.5 million Funding Round to scale its operations.
Founded by neurologist and clinical researcher Dr. Jontel Pierce, TrialClinIQ is building an AI-powered platform designed to match patients with relevant clinical trials more efficiently. By analyzing eligibility criteria against clinical and demographic datasets, the platform aims to reduce manual screening efforts and significantly speed up enrollment timelines for sponsors, hospitals, and research organizations.
The newly secured funds will be used to strengthen the company’s engineering and data science capabilities, improve integrations with electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical data platforms, and enhance compliance and security frameworks. The startup also plans to expand partnerships with healthcare providers and clinical trial sponsors to broaden its reach.
TrialClinIQ’s entry into the LAUNCH accelerator provides more than just funding it offers mentorship, strategic guidance, and access to a network of healthcare operators and investors. This support is expected to accelerate the company’s growth and refine its go to market strategy in the competitive digital health space.
The development comes amid a growing global push to modernize clinical research through AI and digital tools. By improving patient matching and decentralizing recruitment processes, platforms like TrialClinIQ aim to make clinical trials more inclusive, efficient, and accessible addressing one of the biggest bottlenecks in drug development today.
“Clinical trials drive innovation, but too many patients are still left out.”
