Brajesh Pathak has proposed a Technology Driven Healthcare Roadmap aimed at drastically reducing and eventually eliminating maternal deaths in Uttar Pradesh.
The plan focuses on leveraging Digital Tools, Mobile Applications, And Real Time Data Systems to closely monitor pregnancies and ensure timely medical intervention. By tracking high risk pregnancies through technology, healthcare providers can respond faster and prevent complications that often lead to maternal mortality.
A key component of the strategy is the creation of a Real Time Monitoring Ecosystem, enabling seamless coordination between frontline health workers, hospitals, and administrative authorities. This approach ensures that critical cases are identified early and referred to appropriate facilities without delay.
The initiative also emphasizes strengthening Prenatal And Postnatal Care Services, improving healthcare infrastructure, and enhancing accountability through data driven decision making. By integrating technology into every stage of maternal care, the government aims to reduce gaps in service delivery and improve overall outcomes.
This move builds on Uttar Pradesh’s broader push toward AI and Digital Health Adoption, where technology is increasingly being used for early disease detection, efficient resource allocation, and improved healthcare accessibility.
Experts believe that combining Technology, Data analytics, and Improved Healthcare Coordination can significantly lower maternal mortality rates, especially in high burden regions, and move the state closer to achieving its goal of Zero Maternal Deaths.
“Technology driven monitoring and timely intervention can turn maternal deaths into preventable outcomes.”
