Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the newly built Sindhu Hospital in Hyderabad, highlighting the growing role of technology and innovation in transforming India’s healthcare system. The hospital is being described as one of the most advanced cancer focused multi-super speciality healthcare institutions in the region.
According to official reports, Sindhu Hospital is a not for profit quaternary care medical facility spread across nearly 2.1 million square feet with 18 floors, 1,500 beds, 29 advanced operation theatres, and more than 150 consultation rooms. The hospital offers services including cancer treatment, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, robotic assisted surgeries, bone marrow transplants, critical care, and over 33 medical super specialities.
During the inauguration, PM Modi praised the hospital management for integrating modern medical technology, innovation, and advanced healthcare systems into patient care. Multiple verified reports confirmed that the Prime Minister described the project as a “laudable effort” to improve healthcare infrastructure in Hyderabad and nearby regions.
The hospital was founded by Dr. Bandi Parthasaradhi Reddy, Chairman of the Hetero Group. Reports also noted that the Prime Minister interacted with doctors and hospital officials to understand the advanced technologies being implemented at the facility.
The inauguration comes at a time when India is increasingly focusing on AI-driven healthcare, robotic surgery, digital diagnostics, and smart hospital infrastructure. Experts say projects like Sindhu Hospital reflect the country’s push toward technology enabled healthcare delivery and improved access to advanced treatment facilities.
Some political and independent reports additionally highlighted the hospital’s connection to the Hetero Pharmaceutical Group and its past political funding links, though the primary focus of the inauguration remained healthcare infrastructure and technology advancement.
