Digital Care Breakthrough! CitiusTech & DocOnline Reach the Unreached

CitiusTech, SEED, and DocOnline have launched a CSR-driven digital health program for 12 slums in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The initiative trains frontline health workers, uses DocOnline’s telemedicine platform, and empowers community health entrepreneurs, enabling accessible, quality medical advice for underserved urban populations.

Glimpse:

In a powerful step for urban healthcare equity, CitiusTech, DocOnline, and SEED have rolled out a digital health initiative across 12 slums in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. They’ve trained over 625 frontline health workers, set up teleconsultation with certified doctors, and launched community health camps. By blending telemedicine with grassroots outreach, the program makes trusted medical care more accessible while building a sustainable, inclusive model for underserved neighbourhoods.

In the crowded lanes of Hyderabad and Bengaluru’s slums, access to quality healthcare has often felt like a luxury. But a new partnership is changing that narrative. CitiusTech, the health-tech firm, has teamed up with DocOnline and NGO SEED to launch a CSR initiative aimed at bringing affordable, high-quality medical care right to the doorsteps of underserved communities.

The heart of the initiative lies in capacity building over 625 frontline health workers (FLEs) are being trained on women’s health, child safety, non-communicable diseases, and how to use digital healthcare tools in collaboration with government agencies. These trained workers act as a bridge between their communities and certified doctors, using DocOnline’s telemedicine platform to ensure consultations happen without the burden of travel, long queues, or high out-of-pocket costs.

Beyond teleconsultations, the program includes community health camps offering free check-ups, preventive screenings, and dedicated sessions on mental health. To further sustainability, 50 Village-Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) are being trained to become health facilitators in their own communities providing services and building a sustainable model of care.

This partnership isn’t just about healthcare; it’s about empowerment. By combining technology, training, and community engagement, the program aims to serve over 50,000 lives in these urban slums reducing burden on public health systems and bringing trusted primary care to those who need it most.

β€œBy combining training, digital access and community engagement with DocOnline’s clinical excellence, we aim to create lasting impact and ensure quality healthcare for all.”
