Fabric Health has acquired UCM Digital Health, bringing on about 1 million new covered lives and 400 payer and employer clients. In a bold step to strengthen its foothold in the employer and payer markets, Fabric Health has acquired UCM Digital Health, bringing in 400 new payer/employer clients and around 1 million lives under its wing. The merger pairs Fabric’s AI-driven virtual-care network with UCM’s deep experience in serving payers and employers promising smoother workflows, lower costs, and a more connected care experience for members.

Fabric Health has announced its latest acquisition: UCM Digital Health, a prominent telehealth provider for payers and employers. This marks Fabric’s fifth acquisition in under three years, reinforcing its strategy to build a comprehensive, AI-enabled care-access platform.

With this acquisition, Fabric adds approximately 1 million covered lives and 400 new employer and payer clients to its portfolio. These clients will be transitioned to Fabric’s unified care platform, which integrates virtual-first clinical services with AI-powered workflows and a nationwide provider network.

Fabric’s model aims to deliver an “omnichannel” patient experience digital intake, virtual visits, and seamless follow-up while improving efficiency for payers and employers. According to Fabric, the integration will help reduce friction in care delivery, cut costs, and improve outcomes.

Importantly, the acquisition also boosts Fabric’s clinical capacity: its platform supports fast treatment plans (common condition diagnosis in around five minutes) and behavioral health access (virtual consult in as little as three days).

Fabric’s CEO and Founder, Aniq Rahman, said the move is about enhancing access and value“By bringing more payers and employers onto our platform, we’re creating a connected experience that streamlines workflows, reduces friction and costs, and ultimately drives better outcomes.”

From UCM’s side, Michael R. Bibighaus, Founder & CMO, emphasized the synergy: “Together, we’re creating a more connected, seamless experience for the people we serve improving access, driving down costs, and delivering better outcomes for members.”

“For Fabric, it’s about making healthcare more accessible this acquisition allows us to deepen our impact, streamline workflows, reduce friction and costs, and ultimately drive better outcomes for members and our partners.”
