Haystack Analytics Secures $5 Mn to Scale Genomics-Driven Precision Diagnostics Across India

Haystack Analytics, a leading Indian healthtech startup specializing in genomics-driven diagnostics, has raised $5 million in a new funding round to accelerate its growth in precision medicine. The capital will fuel expansion of its AI-powered genomic interpretation platform, broaden test offerings for oncology, rare diseases, and infectious conditions, and strengthen partnerships with hospitals and labs to make advanced diagnostics more accessible and affordable nationwide.

Glimpse:

The $5 million round, led by prominent healthtech investors with participation from strategic angels, will support Haystackโ€™s efforts to scale its cloud-based platform that analyzes next-generation sequencing (NGS) data for rapid, clinically actionable reports in cancer genomics, hereditary disorders, pharmacogenomics, and pathogen identification. The funding will drive team expansion, regulatory clearances for new panels, deeper hospital integrations, and large-scale validation studies, targeting a significant increase in processed cases and geographic reach across Indiaโ€™s diagnostic ecosystem.

Haystack Analytics, a Mumbai-based healthtech startup revolutionizing precision diagnostics through AI-powered genomic interpretation, has successfully raised $5 million in a fresh funding round. The investment, announced on February 27, 2026, was led by a consortium of health-focused venture funds and strategic angels with deep expertise in diagnostics and genomics. This latest infusion brings Haystackโ€™s total funding to date to over $15 million and comes at a pivotal time as the company scales its platform to meet surging demand for affordable, high-accuracy genomic testing in India.

Haystackโ€™s core offering is a cloud-based AI platform that ingests raw next-generation sequencing (NGS) data from labs and generates clinically validated, easy-to-interpret reports within hours. The system supports a wide range of applicationsย  from comprehensive cancer genomic profiling (detecting actionable mutations, tumour mutational burden, and microsatellite instability) to rare disease diagnostics, pharmacogenomics for drug response prediction, and infectious disease pathogen identification (including antimicrobial resistance profiling). Its AI models, trained on large-scale Indian genomic datasets, deliver high sensitivity and specificity tailored to local genetic diversity, outperforming many global solutions on South Asian cohorts.

The fresh capital will be deployed to expand Haystackโ€™s test menu (adding new oncology panels, whole-exome sequencing, and liquid biopsy assays), strengthen integrations with major hospital chains, diagnostic labs, and oncology centres, and accelerate regulatory clearances for additional indications. The company plans to grow its team significantly in bioinformatics, clinical genomics, and business development while investing in cloud infrastructure to handle increasing test volumes. Haystack will also deepen partnerships with public health programs and research institutions to support large-scale genomic screening initiatives in cancer and rare diseases.

Haystackโ€™s leadership highlighted that Indiaโ€™s massive disease burdenย  particularly in oncology and genetic disorders combined with falling sequencing costs creates a unique opportunity for genomics-driven precision medicine. However, challenges like high test costs, long turnaround times, and limited expert interpretation have restricted access. The new funding will help Haystack make these services more affordable and widely available through tiered pricing, volume-based partnerships, and integration with ABDM-compliant digital health ecosystems for seamless result sharing and clinical decision support.

This round reflects continued strong investor confidence in Indiaโ€™s genomics and precision diagnostics sector, where startups are leveraging local data richness, engineering talent, and large patient volumes to build globally competitive solutions. Haystack is now positioned to significantly increase its processed case volume and geographic footprint, contributing to earlier diagnoses, better treatment outcomes, and reduced healthcare costs across the country.

โ€œGenomics is transforming medicine, but in India, it must be fast, accurate, and affordable. With this funding, weโ€™re scaling our platform to bring precision diagnostics to every hospital and patient who needs it no matter where they are.โ€
