OneOncology has acquired GenesisCare USA (Florida) and is rebranding the operations as SunState Medical Specialists, adding over 100 physicians across 104 clinics statewide strengthening its community-based specialty care footprint.

In its latest growth move, OneOncology closed on the acquisition of GenesisCare’s Florida operations and will relaunch the group as SunState Medical Specialists (SMS). The deal brings more than 100 physicians including urologists, oncologists, and surgeons and expands OneOncology’s capabilities in community settings with in-house diagnostics, imaging, and advanced therapies.

OneOncology, a physician-led national platform supporting independent specialty practices, has formalized its acquisition of GenesisCare USA’s Florida business, which will be relaunched under a new brand: SunState Medical Specialists (SMS).

The acquired group consists of over 100 physicians spanning disciplines such as urology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and various surgical specialties. They currently serve patients across 104 clinic locations throughout Florida’s regions.

OneOncology has committed to investing in upgrading clinical infrastructure, expanding access to advanced services, and deploying analytics and research capabilities across the newly integrated SMS network

OneOncology’s CEO, Dr. Jeff Patton, described the move as reinforcing the platform’s strategy of enabling specialty care in community settings—delivering high-quality service outside of hospital settings, often at lower cost points.

SMS will operate across Florida’s major regions—from Southeast (Miami, Broward, Palm Beach) to the Panhandle—extending OneOncology’s reach and complementing its existing Florida partnerships such as Hematology Oncology Associates and Mid-Florida Cancer Centers.

The acquisition also reflects a broader trend of consolidation in specialty care—where aligned platforms aim to offer scale, clinical integration, and operational support to independent physicians.
