Indian medical-device manufacturer MarkEn HealthTech and UAE-based Rexton Technologies have announced a joint-venture partnership aimed at expanding advanced equipment production across India, the UAE and other international markets, signalling a new model of cross-border manufacturing for healthcare.
Glimpse:
The collaboration will combine MarkEnโs certified healthcare-equipment portfolio (including cold-chain systems and blood-management devices) with Rextonโs manufacturing infrastructure in Sharjah. Together the companies plan to build a production platform that serves hospitals, clinics and healthcare providers across GCC, Africa, Asia and Europe.
Indian manufacturer MarkEn HealthTech Limited specialising in medical cold-chain systems, blood-management solutions and advanced healthcare equipment has entered into a strategic partnership with Rexton Technologies, the flagship industrial-products group of Dubai-based Kingston Investment Holdings. The joint venture was unveiled at the Arab Lab exhibition held in Dubai and brings together MarkEnโs healthcare design and certification expertise with Rextonโs large-scale manufacturing capabilities in Sharjah.
According to the announcement, the new venture will focus on developing next-generation medical equipment, leveraging MarkEnโs research-driven product lines and Rextonโs infrastructure and export footprint. The partnership will target accelerated production and distribution of devices across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe boosting local manufacturing, supply-chain resilience and export growth.
Chairman Lalu Samuel of Rexton Technologies described the collaboration as โa step toward positioning the UAE-India region as a global hub for healthcare-manufacturing excellence.โ MarkEnโs Promoter, Rushikesh Pawar, added: โBy joining forces with Rexton, we will take our leading-edge product range into new markets and deliver solutions that meet international standards in scale and quality.โ
Observers note that the partnership reflects broader trends: increasing global demand for medical equipment, policy incentives for domestic manufacturing (including in India under โMake in Indiaโ and in the Gulf under โMake in UAEโ), and the importance of regional supply-chain localization. The alliance comes at a time when supply disruptions and global-health-security concerns have underscored the need for diversified, high-quality manufacturing bases.
Going forward, the challenge for the joint venture will include aligning regulatory standards across markets, ensuring product-certification accreditation, scaling production while maintaining quality, and executing on cross-border logistics and after-sales support. If successful, the partnership could serve as a blueprint for collaborative healthcare-manufacturing capacity building between India and the Middle East.
โThis collaboration blends Rextonโs robust manufacturing infrastructure with MarkEnโs innovative healthcare solutions together we are set to deliver devices that will impact healthcare worldwide.โ
