Paradigm Health + Roche AI-Driven Push to Reimagine Clinical-Trial Enrollment

Published: December 8, 2025

Paradigm Health has teamed up with Roche to deploy artificial-intelligence tools aimed at speeding up and broadening patient enrollment in clinical trials  helping cut setup times, lower costs and improve access for patients often excluded from research.

Glimpse:

The collaboration comes after Paradigm Health secured a $78 million funding round, and followed its acquisition of a clinical-research business from Flatiron (a Roche unit).  The combined setup aims to use AI-powered matching and trial-site networks to connect more patients  including those in underserved or under-represented populations  to suitable clinical trials.

In December 2025, Paradigm Health announced a formal partnership with Roche to scale AI-enabled clinical-trial enrollment across the U.S. The goal: reduce traditional bottlenecks  slow recruitment, limited trial access, and high cost/time overhead  by leveraging automation, data-driven matching and an expanded trial-site footprint.

This move comes on the heels of Paradigm’s acquisition of the clinical-research arm of Flatiron Health (previously part of Roche), expanding its network to cover more than 25 academic health systems and nearly 100 community oncology practices  collectively serving over 2.4 million patients. By integrating Flatiron’s infrastructure with its own AI-powered platform, Paradigm aims to make trials more accessible  embedding research opportunities directly into routine care settings without requiring new infrastructure.

Beyond enrollment, the AI tools support trial-site feasibility, patient-trial matching, and ongoing data capture (e-source), reducing administrative burden, speeding up timelines, and enhancing data-quality and inclusivity. According to the company, this model could help transform clinical trials  from a niche, hospital-based activity into a widely accessible, equitable part of healthcare delivery.

“Clinical trials should be accessible to any patient, anywhere not just those at big academic medical centres. With AI and Roche’s support, we’re working to make that a reality.”
