The Neotia Group has officially commenced construction of a new 262-bed multispecialty hospital in Kolkata. The greenfield project, with a significant investment, will introduce advanced tertiary care services including oncology, cardiac sciences, neurosciences, orthopaedics, and mother & child care aiming to address the growing demand for quality private healthcare in eastern India.

Glimpse:

The upcoming Neotia hospital will feature modern modular OTs, advanced ICUs, comprehensive diagnostic facilities (MRI, CT, PET-CT, cath labs), and specialized centres of excellence. Located strategically in Kolkata, it is designed to serve both urban and regional patients, reduce travel for complex treatments, and incorporate digital health tools for seamless care coordination. The facility is expected to become operational in phases starting 2027–2028, strengthening Neotia’s footprint in West Bengal.

Neotia Healthcare Initiative Limited, part of the diversified Neotia Group, has broken ground on a new 262-bed multispecialty tertiary care hospital in Kolkata. The project incorporates modern design principles: modular operation theatres, negative-pressure isolation rooms, energy-efficient systems, and patient-centric layouts. Digital health integration is a core focus EHRs, telemedicine support, and ABDM-compliant patient portals will enable seamless care continuity and remote consultations.

Neotia Group emphasized that the hospital will prioritize affordability through various insurance tie-ups, Ayushman Bharat empanelment, and community outreach programs. The facility is strategically located to serve not only Kolkata but also patients from neighbouring states and districts with limited access to advanced care.

The ₹500+ crore project (estimated) is expected to create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs and significantly enhance tertiary care capacity in West Bengal. It aligns with the state’s healthcare development goals and the group’s vision of delivering world-class medical services with compassion and accessibility.

“This new hospital is our promise to bring world-class, compassionate care closer to the people of eastern India where it is needed most.”
