Healthtech Startup Clinics on Cloud to Deploy Over 2,000 AI Health ATMs Across Rural Maharashtra

Clinics on Cloud, a Pune based healthtech startup, has announced plans to deploy more than 2,000 AI-powered Health ATMs across rural Maharashtra. These smart kiosks will provide instant basic diagnostics, health screenings, and telemedicine connectivity, aiming to bridge the healthcare gap in underserved villages by bringing affordable, technology driven primary care closer to rural populations.

Glimpse:

The AI Health ATMs are compact, solar powered kiosks equipped with AI-enabled tools for measuring vital signs (BP, SpO2, temperature, ECG), basic blood tests (glucose, hemoglobin), and symptom based risk assessment. Connected to doctors via telemedicine, the units generate instant health reports and digital prescriptions. The massive rollout targets remote and tribal areas of Maharashtra, with the first 500 units planned for deployment within the next 12 months. The project is supported by state government initiatives and aims to serve millions of rural residents who currently lack access to even basic diagnostic services.

Clinics on Cloud, an innovative Pune based healthtech startup, has unveiled ambitious plans to deploy more than 2,000 AI-powered Health ATMs across rural Maharashtra. The initiative, announced on February 26, 2026, seeks to revolutionize primary healthcare delivery in remote and underserved villages by placing intelligent diagnostic kiosks within easy reach of communities that often struggle with limited access to doctors and diagnostic facilities.

Each AI Health ATM is a compact, solar powered unit equipped with advanced sensors and AI software capable of performing instant health screenings. The kiosks can measure vital parameters such as blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, and ECG, conduct basic blood tests including glucose and hemoglobin levels, and provide AI-driven risk assessments for common conditions like hypertension, diabetes, anemia, and respiratory issues. The system generates a digital health report on the spot and connects users to qualified doctors through integrated telemedicine for further consultation and prescription.

The rollout is planned in phases, with the first 500 units targeted for deployment within the next 12 months, focusing on tribal dominated and rural districts of Maharashtra. The project has received support from state government health initiatives and is designed to align with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission standards, ensuring seamless linkage with patients’ ABHA records for continuity of care.

Founders of Clinics on Cloud stated that the massive deployment is driven by the stark reality that millions of rural Indians still lack access to even basic diagnostic services, often leading to delayed treatment and higher mortality from preventable conditions. By placing AI-powered kiosks in gram panchayats, primary health centres, and village markets, the company aims to create a decentralized diagnostic network that empowers community health workers and brings specialist support closer to the last mile.

The initiative is expected to generate valuable real-world health data (with full consent and privacy safeguards) that can help state authorities improve public health planning and resource allocation. Clinics on Cloud plans to expand the model to other states in the coming years, positioning itself as a key player in India’s rural digital health transformation.

“Our vision is simple every village in Maharashtra should have access to basic diagnostics and doctor consultation without travelling long distances. These AI Health ATMs will make quality primary care truly reachable for rural families.
