Prudential Health India has announced key leadership changes, appointing Amit Dave as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, along with Abhishek Saraf as Chief Operating Officer. These appointments are subject to regulatory approval and mark an important step in strengthening the company’s leadership structure.
Amit Dave succeeds Amar Joshi, who has stepped down to pursue other opportunities. With more than two decades of experience in the insurance sector, Dave brings deep expertise in strategy, product design, agency distribution, bancassurance, and strategic partnerships. Prior to this role, he served as President and Chief Distribution Officer at Tata AIA Life Insurance.
Abhishek Saraf, who has over 25 years of experience within the Prudential ecosystem, has been appointed COO and will report to Dave. In his new role, he will work closely with teams across finance, actuarial, risk, compliance, product, and data analytics functions to drive operational alignment and execution discipline.
The leadership transition comes at a critical time as Prudential advances its plans to establish and scale its health insurance business in India, including securing regulatory approvals and building a differentiated market offering.
The move also reflects Prudential’s long term commitment to the Indian healthcare and insurance market, which is witnessing rapid growth driven by rising healthcare costs, increased awareness, and expanding insurance penetration.
