Workout at Workstation

I am Rina Hindocha, a Yoga Practitioner and Trainer. Today, when it comes of anxiety and stress, Yoga really can be magical. I have personally experienced radical changes in my life. Yoga brought a harmonious blend of movement and stillness to my life, so much that it became the only constant in my dynamic life. I am more peaceful, present and centered now. Due to the ongoing pandemic, there is a rise in anxiety and fear among working people. There is lot of panic and stress around. As days are going by, the stress is adding up and affecting them both physically and mentally. Especially for people who are working from home or at office. They are struggling with things like stress, feeling of helplessness, low morale, worrying about uncertainty of future, changes in financial income, homeschooling of children, and an inability to visit their friends. So in this situation, it is also difficult for them to concentrate on the work. Though majority are facing the dire condition, a Yoga Session will definitely encourage everyone to de-stress. Yoga helps them to take a deep breath and calm their mind. Yoga will definitely help to stay in the present moment and will allow them to draw out the distractions that are causing to procrastinate. A 10 minute Yoga Session @ Desk

  • Hip Openers
  • Seated Twists
  • Shoulder Openers
  • Neck Openers
  • Forward Bent
  • Breathing Exercise

Simple Twists and Stretches

  • Seated Spinal Twist
  • Forward Bent
  • Pigeon Twist
  • Shoulder Stretch
  • Neck Rotation
  • Spinal Movement

Practicing deep breathing and mindfulness while sitting at desk or in front of the laptop, will help to de-stress. The exercises and stretches help to strengthen areas such as shoulders, back, chest, and abdomen which are all affected by poor postures. A 10 minute Yoga sequence done at desk includes hip openers, seated twists, shoulder and neck openers, forward bent, and breathing exercise which will help to rejuvenate and will make feel energized. Yoga exercises increase the blood flow and make them feel more energized. Sitting at the desk for hours can be very uncomfortable and their body is going to pay for it and the end of the day. Yoga is very essential for improving the postures. There are so many stretches which we can do just while sitting on the chair in front of our desk and it will hardly take ten minutes. Like a seated spinal twist, or a forward bent, or a pigeon twist, or a shoulder stretch, or a neck rotation, or a spinal movement.
