HealthTap is now integrated into Eli Lilly’s digital platform, LillyDirect, to deliver longitudinal primary-care services including diabetes management to users across the U.S.

In a strategic move, HealthTap becomes the first independent telehealth primary care provider on LillyDirect, offering virtual care for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Through this collaboration, patients can access medication management, lab review, preventive care, and continuous follow-ups within Lilly’s consumer health ecosystem.
HealthTap, a U.S. telehealth provider, has announced a partnership with LillyDirect, Eli Lilly’s consumer facing digital health platform, to expand access to virtual primary care for diabetes patients nationwide.
Under this collaboration:
HealthTap becomes the first primary care telehealth practice available on LillyDirect, enabling patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes to link directly with board-certified primary care clinicians.
Clinicians on HealthTap will support comprehensive care: medication management, lab review, preventive screenings, and continuity for comorbid conditions.
The service is presented to LillyDirect users without financial exchange or ownership linkage. HealthTap clinicians will not necessarily know whether a patient came via LillyDirect.
The partnership reflects a shift from narrow, disease specific telehealth models to holistic, relationship-based primary care, particularly for chronic disease management.
HealthTap CEO Sean Mehra noted that the collaboration allows HealthTap to benefit from Lilly’s consumer reach, while offering its existing model of continuous patient-doctor connections within a larger health platform.
This integration occurs against the backdrop of rising consumer demand for diabetes and obesity care, and increasing interest from pharmaceutical companies in embedding care services around their drug platforms.
