The Rajasthan government has unveiled ‘e-Swasthya Samvad’, a pioneering digital platform designed to strengthen governance, transparency, and coordination in the medical education sector. This initiative creates a virtual bridge for seamless dialogue among key stakeholders, addressing longstanding challenges in communication and oversight.
The platform operates through scheduled video conferencing sessions held twice weekly every Tuesday and Thursday allowing real-time engagement between medical administrators, faculty, staff, students, and even the public. This structured approach ensures issues are raised, discussed, and resolved promptly, fostering accountability and collaborative problem-solving.
Principal Secretary of Medical Education, Gayatri Rathore, emphasized that e-Swasthya Samvad serves as a dedicated digital interface linking all parties involved in medical education and broader health services. It enables quicker decision-making and more effective rollout of government health programs, ultimately benefiting institutions, professionals, and patients across the state.
Medical Education Commissioner Naresh Goyal highlighted how the platform enhances transparency by opening channels for direct feedback and interaction, reducing bureaucratic delays and improving responsiveness in a sector critical to public welfare.
This launch aligns with Rajasthan’s broader push toward digital governance in healthcare, complementing existing tools and schemes while prioritizing inclusive participation. As medical education evolves amid rising demands for quality training and infrastructure, e-Swasthya Samvad positions the state as a proactive leader in leveraging technology for systemic improvements.
“The platform would function as a dedicated digital interface connecting all stakeholders associated with medical education and health services, enabling faster decision-making and effective implementation of health programmes.”
