GVK a leading Indian conglomerate with diversified interests across various critical economic sectors forayed into healthcare with GVK Health Hub.  The new venture is supported and funded by not-for-profit emergency services provider EMRI Green Health Services (formerly GVK EMRI), which manages the 108 emergency response services. GVK has plans to set up a chain of healthcare and wellness facilities where EMRI already has a network across nearly 16 states. 

A 25,000 sq ft pilot facility has already been rolled out at an investment of around Rs 40 crore in Jubilee Hills with plans to expand to more centres in Hyderabad.

The hub is equipped with AI powered advanced diagnostics and radiology facilities along with a central lab, MRI, CT and ultrasound facilities.

It also has specialty clinics for various ailments such as diabetes, ophthalmology, gynecology, rheumatology and nephrology, among others, and offers daycare surgical procedures.

EMRI Green Health Services director M Ramsekhar said, since EMRI is a not-for-profit will be providing facilities at subsidized costs to economically backward patients. Their visionary leader, Sri GVK Reddy, conceptualized the one stop facility for core healthcare services outside of a tertiary hospital setup, with wholesome care that is affordable and led to creation of GVK Health Hub, Mr Ramsekhar noted.
