India and Jordan have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in healthcare innovation, digital health infrastructure and health technologyΒ  a key theme highlighted during diplomatic engagements in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for shared progress in health systems and technology exchanges.

Glimpse:

The renewed partnership emphasises collaborative research, digital health innovation, telemedicine, health data systems and knowledge exchange aimed at improving healthcare delivery, resiliency and capacity building in both countries.

India and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan have reaffirmed their commitment to deeper cooperation in healthcare, particularly in digital health infrastructure and health technology development. The commitment was articulated during high-level diplomatic engagements where Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the value of collaboration in healthcare innovation as part of broader strategic ties.

Officials from both nations underscored the importance of strengthening health systems through shared expertise in technology, data platforms, telemedicine services and digital care delivery models. With the rapid emergence of AI, interoperable health records and smart health tools, the collaboration aims to help both countries accelerate the adoption of new technologies that improve clinical outcomes and expand patient access to quality care.

Prime Minister Modi encouraged initiatives that leverage technology to make healthcare more accessible, affordable and efficientΒ  especially in areas such as telehealth services, digital surveillance systems, diagnostics innovation and health data governance. The discussions also highlighted opportunities for joint research, capacity building, and exchanges between health tech startups, academic partners and government health agencies.

In particular, India and Jordan expressed interest in exploring shared solutions for health workforce training, chronic disease management technology, and mobile health platforms that can deliver remote care to underserved populations. By combining India’s growing digital health ecosystem with Jordan’s regional healthcare leadership, the partnership aspires to generate scalable, innovation-driven models that can be adapted across diverse health systems.

The strengthened cooperation was also framed within the context of broader diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries, signalling that health technology and digital infrastructure will be key pillars of future India-Jordan strategic engagement.

β€œBy harnessing health technology and digital infrastructure, our collaboration can expand access, enhance quality and enable sustainable healthcare solutions for all.”
