Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. is entering the Pune healthcare landscape with a major investment of over ₹1,000 crore to build a 450-bed multispeciality hospital  a move that signals its intent to expand premium care services beyond established hubs like Delhi and NCR.

The new facility will be equipped with modern clinical infrastructure, advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, and specialised departments covering cardiology, oncology, neurology, orthopaedics, critical care, women’s and children’s health, and other key disciplines. Designed to serve Pune and its surrounding regions, the hospital is expected to address increasing demand for high-quality care among urban populations, as well as patients from neighbouring districts.

Max Healthcare leadership noted that Pune  known for its thriving economy, growing population and rising healthcare needs  presents a strategic opportunity to bring world-class medical care closer to patients, reducing the need for long journey times to distant medical centres.

The investment encompasses state-of-the-art facilities, smart hospital design, integrated digital health systems and patient experience enhancements. Additional focus areas include emergency services, minimally invasive interventions, rehabilitation support, and specialised centres of excellence.
