Glimpse:
Approved by Park Medi World’s board on January 5, 2026, the acquisition adds a strategically located 250-bed hospital (including ~70 ICU beds) with modular OTs and automated labs to the group’s network. It serves urban and rural patients in Bathinda and surrounding districts, aligning clinical protocols, technology, and expertise across the chain for enhanced inclusive care delivery.
Park Medi World Limited, a leading North Indian hospital chain, has solidified its presence in Punjab by fully acquiring Krishna Super-Speciality Hospital in Bathinda for ₹40 crore. The all-cash transaction involves purchasing 100% existing shareholding from current promoters Mahip Hospitals, transitioning the facility managed by Park Medi World since July 2025 into permanent ownership.
Strategically positioned in the heart of Bathinda, the 250-bed multi-speciality hospital (with nearly 70 intensive care beds) functions as a vital healthcare hub for both urban and rural populations across multiple districts. Equipped with modular operation theatres and automated diagnostic laboratories, it offers comprehensive super-speciality services, complementing Park Medi World’s existing network.
Dr. Ankit Gupta, Managing Director of Park Medi World Limited, described the move as “a key milestone in the company’s mission to deliver world-class healthcare across North India.” He highlighted the hospital’s central location for serving diverse patients and the group’s confidence gained from months of operational management in integrating it fully. Post-acquisition, the facility will align with Park Medi World’s clinical protocols, technology platforms, and standardized processes, benefiting from shared medical expertise.
This acquisition follows Park Medi World’s aggressive inorganic growth strategy, building on its status as the second-largest private hospital chain in North India (largest in Haryana) with 14 NABH-accredited multi-super-speciality hospitals. The group continues to focus on affordable, high-quality care in tier-II/III markets.
“The move represents a key milestone in the company’s mission to deliver world-class healthcare across North India.”
