The bus is a fully self-contained digital health clinic equipped with:

Emergency stabilisation facilities (oxygen, defibrillator, IV fluids, emergency drugs)

AI-assisted triage software that prioritises cases and provides preliminary guidance to onboard medical officers

Secure digital record-keeping integrated with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) for seamless referral and follow-up

The vehicle operates with a rotating team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and technicians, ensuring round-the-clock availability. It covers pre-identified high-need villages in Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, and Chengalpattu districts, parking at fixed community locations during daytime hours and responding to emergency calls at night. Patients receive free consultations, basic investigations, and medicines for common conditions, with immediate referral coordination to SIMS Hospital or nearby facilities when required.
