The Indian Institute of Public Health Hyderabad (IIPH-H) and Divi’s Foundation have signed a strategic partnership to improve child health and developmental outcomes across Telangana through research support, capacity-building and community health interventions.

Under the new collaboration, IIPH-Hyderabad will work with Divi’s Foundation’s Varnam Child Development Centre to enhance early childhood development services, strengthen screening programs and improve public-health delivery for infants and young children. The partnership aims to create evidence-based interventions that can benefit vulnerable communities statewide.
In a significant move aimed at improving child health across Telangana, the Indian Institute of Public Health Hyderabad (IIPH-H), part of the Public Health Foundation of India, has entered into a formal partnership with Divi’s Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Divi’s Laboratories. The collaboration focuses on early childhood development, developmental screening, community-based interventions and strengthening the overall ecosystem of child health services in the state.
As part of the agreement, Divi’s Foundation’s Varnam Child Development Centre a specialized facility that provides therapy and early intervention for developmental delays will work closely with public-health experts from IIPH-Hyderabad. The initiative seeks to build evidence-based frameworks that can be implemented across government and private health systems to enhance developmental outcomes in children.
The partnership will also support training programs for healthcare workers, research on child development trends in Telangana, and the creation of better assessment and monitoring tools. Officials from both organisations emphasized that early detection and intervention can prevent long-term cognitive, social and motor challenges in children especially in underserved and rural communities.
By combining clinical expertise with public-health research capabilities, the initiative has the potential to open new pathways for child health improvement in Telangana. The teams are expected to rollout community campaigns, developmental screenings and capacity-building programs in phases over the coming months.
