RapidAI addresses this by automatically detecting large vessel occlusions, haemorrhages, and the extent of affected brain tissue from CT scans. It generates easy to interpret, colour coded maps that highlight salvageable brain areas, allowing doctors to decide on interventions such as thrombolysis or thrombectomy more quickly.
A key advantage of the platform is its ability to extend the treatment window for certain stroke patients up to 24 hours after symptom onset, compared to the traditional six-hour limit.
