President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated Yashoda Medicity at Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, marking the opening of a 1,200-bed advanced multispecialty facility with sustainable design, robotic surgery capability, and a patient-centered model aligned with national health priorities.

Featuring LEED registration, modular ICUs, advanced imaging, robotic surgery setups, and strong alignment with national health missions like TB elimination, Yashoda Medicity aims to reduce patient outflow to Delhi and serve NCR and adjoining regions.
On Sunday, President Droupadi Murmu formally inaugurated Yashoda Medicity in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. The state-of-the-art hospital is designed as a “green, smart, and fully digital” institution with a capacity of 1,200 beds, situated over more than eight acres.
The hospital includes 65 specialties, 12+ Centres of Excellence, 22 modular operating theatres, over 250 modular ICUs, and integrated systems that connect MRI, CT, and stroke/heart command units with catheterization and DSA labs to enable prompt, coordinated emergency care. Yashoda Medicity is the first hospital in North India to be recognized under the STEPS (System for TB Elimination in Private Sector) initiative, and is expected to lead efforts in disease screening, rehabilitation, and regional accessibility.
In her address, President Murmu spoke on how health services are integral to national development and urged private institutions to uphold social responsibility alongside clinical excellence. She lauded Yashoda Medicity’s commitment to public service, reference to its pandemic and TB program contributions, and expressed hope for further collaboration with technology and research bodies such as IIT Bombay to advance gene therapy and indigenous medical innovation.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also addressed the gathering, calling the hospital a new definition of world-class infrastructure. He indicated that residents would no longer have to travel to Delhi for top-tier care, and mentioned that the hospital has already created 5,000 jobs across clinical, nursing, paramedical, and support staff roles
