Novo Nordisk India has joined hands with Healthify to launch an AI-enabled patient-support programme aimed at helping individuals living with obesity  combining clinical care, digital coaching and lifestyle management via Healthify’s AI health-coach.

Glimpse:

The programme offers a personalised care journey: users receive AI-driven guidance through a virtual coach (named “Ria”), dietitian-led support, nutrition tracking, behavioural guidance, and real-time feedback  designed to complement obesity therapies and long-term lifestyle change.

In December 2025, Novo Nordisk India and Healthify announced a collaboration to launch a comprehensive AI-powered obesity patient support programme across the country. Under the new arrangement, Healthify’s AI-based health-coach, Ria, will help users manage their nutrition, lifestyle and follow-up care, while offering tailored guidance throughout their weight-management journey. The initiative targets individuals living with obesity or overweight, aiming to improve consistency in treatment, encourage healthier habits, and support long-term wellness.

The programme is positioned as a holistic adjunct to pharmacological therapy: Novo Nordisk, already a player in obesity drugs, emphasizes that sustainable outcomes require structured lifestyle support  not just medication. By embedding an AI-driven coaching and monitoring layer, the partnership hopes to bridge gaps in adherence, patient education, and long-term behavioural change. its existing user base, AI and human-coach hybrid model, and digital infrastructure  enabling scalable, personalised obesity-care support across India. The collaboration also reflects growing convergence between pharma and healthtech to address chronic lifestyle diseases through integrated care models combining drugs, coaching, and digital tools.

“Structured lifestyle support plays a critical role alongside therapy our goal is to equip people living with obesity with the tools, coaching and real-time intelligence they need to build healthier long-term habits.”
