Sancheti Hospital, one of India’s foremost orthopaedic institutions, has reached a historic milestone: 60 years of excellence in restoring mobility and transforming lives. To commemorate this legacy, the hospital unveiled multiple transformative initiatives, including the Sancheti AI Innovation Lab, a dedicated Artificial Intelligence Department, and the state-of-the-art Sancheti Advanced OrthoCare Hospital a 150-bed facility designed for comprehensive musculoskeletal care.
The celebrations highlighted Sancheti’s evolution from a modest 10-bed unit founded by Dr. K.H. Sancheti to a beacon of orthopaedic expertise, research, and education. Guided by the ethos “Mobility is Dignity,” the institution has pioneered treatments, trained generations of specialists, and served millions.
A centerpiece of the anniversary is the AI Innovation Lab and AIMD (Artificial Intelligence MD) platform, building on earlier successes like OrthoAI (launched in 2023 and used by over 8,000 doctors). The lab will foster AI-driven advancements in diagnostics, rehabilitation, and personalized care positioning Sancheti at the forefront of tech-enabled orthopaedics.
Adding a touch of innovation and warmth, the hospital introduced SANBO, an AI-inspired mascot symbolizing movement, compassion, and progress. SANBO will engage patients through digital outreach, rehabilitation guidance, and community programs.
The new Sancheti Advanced OrthoCare Hospital expands clinical capacity with modern infrastructure, while advanced robotic rehabilitation programs demonstrate proven gains in mobility, pain reduction, neuro-rehab, and sports injury recovery.
Future plans include strengthened global partnerships, expanded academic training, and Mobile OrthoCare Units to deliver specialized services to remote communities ensuring equitable access.
