Indian mental health startup HeyyPal has raised fresh funding from an Abu Dhabi based investor to expand its digital platform and improve access to affordable, real time mental health support.

Glimpse:

HeyyPal has secured investment from Abu Dhabi based venture capitalist Umesh Bhatt at a valuation of around ₹20 crore. The funding will help the startup scale its on demand mental health services, which connect users with verified professionals through real time conversations.

In a significant boost to India’s growing digital mental health ecosystem, HeyyPal has raised fresh funding from Abu Dhabi based investor Umesh Bhatt. While the exact funding amount remains undisclosed, the deal values the startup at approximately ₹20 crore, reflecting increasing investor confidence in tech driven mental wellness solutions.

Founded as an on demand, expert led conversation platform, HeyyPal focuses on providing instant mental health support by connecting users with verified psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, and trained listeners. The platform operates on a per-minute consultation model, making mental healthcare more accessible and affordable for users who may otherwise face barriers such as cost, stigma, or long wait times.

The newly raised funds will be used to enhance the platform’s technology infrastructure and expand its reach across India. With mental health awareness rising but access still limited in many regions, digital platforms like HeyyPal aim to bridge the gap by offering immediate and private support through mobile first solutions.

Investor Umesh Bhatt highlighted that the startup’s blend of technology and human empathy makes it a scalable and impactful solution in a critical healthcare segment. Meanwhile, founder Vishwalok Nath emphasized the company’s mission to ensure that anyone seeking emotional support can access help instantly, without friction.

The funding also reflects a broader shift in India’s startup ecosystem, where mental health once underfunded and overlooked is now gaining traction as a key area for innovation and investment. As digital adoption increases and societal attitudes evolve, platforms like HeyyPal are positioned to play a crucial role in reshaping how mental healthcare is delivered in the country.

“Whenever someone needs to talk, support should be instantly available without barriers.”
