The key driver behind the acquisition is HS235, an investigational biologic therapy designed to treat pulmonary hypertension, a serious condition characterized by high blood pressure in the lungs. HS235 has already completed early stage (Phase 1) clinical trials and is expected to move into further studies targeting pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and pulmonary hypertension linked to heart failure.
