Philips & Cortechs.ai Deepen AI Ties to Embed Quantitative Neuroimaging Into MR Workflow

Philips has extended its partnership with Cortechs.ai to integrate AI-powered NeuroQuant® analytics directly into its MR systems  enabling automatic, zero-click quantitative reports for neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s, MS, and brain tumours

Glimpse:

As neurological disease burden and demand for brain MRI scans rise, Philips and Cortechs.ai are collaborating to bring quantitative, AI-driven neuroanalysis directly into MR workflows. Key metrics such as brain volumes, lesion volume, and tumour tracking will be automatically computed and integrated into Philips’ Smart Reading environment  without needing additional manual intervention.

Royal Philips has announced a significant expansion of its collaboration with Cortechs.ai, integrating the startup’s NeuroQuant® quantitative neuroimaging software directly into Philips’ magnetic resonance (MR) systems.  As part of this integration, automated AI-driven metrics  such as brain volume, lesion quantification, and tumour tracking  will be generated during routine MR exams, helping clinicians obtain objective, reproducible biomarkers alongside traditional images.

One of the most powerful aspects of this collaboration is its “zero-click” design: through Philips’ Smart Reading cloud platform, quantitative neuro reports will be generated and delivered directly on the MR system or PACS, without requiring additional steps from technicians.  This means less manual post-processing, fewer chances of human error, and consistent, quality-checked data every time.

Philips believes this enhanced workflow can address some of the most pressing challenges in neuroimaging: between increasing imaging demand (up to 25% of MR exams are for brain scans) and workforce constraints in radiology departments, automated quantitative analysis can improve speed, consistency, and diagnostic confidence. By embedding AI, Philips aims to support diagnosis and longitudinal tracking for conditions like Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, and brain tumours  helping care teams monitor disease progression more precisely.

From Cortechs.ai’s perspective, this partnership advances its mission of providing “actionable, quantitative insights” into brain health. Kyle Frye, CEO of Cortechs.ai, said that combining their neuroanalytics with Philips’ MR hardware and cloud platform will help clinicians personalize neurological care and more reliably track changes over time. Meanwhile, Ioannis Panagiotelis, Philips’ Business Leader for MRI, described the collaboration as accelerating a shift toward fully quantitative, AI-powered neurodiagnostics  enabling faster, more objective decisions in complex brain conditions.

“By extending our partnership with Cortechs.ai, we are accelerating the transition to fully quantitative, AI-powered neuroimaging This integration brings precision, reproducibility, and efficiency to neurological MR.”
