At the Cancer Moonshot event in Delaware, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a $7.5 million initiative for cervical cancer sampling, detection kits, and vaccines for countries battling the disease. He highlighted India’s integrated approach to cancer care, including its cost-effective screening program and homegrown vaccine, alongside new AI-driven treatment protocols. Modi expressed gratitude to President Biden for the event, emphasizing a shared commitment to affordable healthcare and India’s readiness to collaborate internationally on radiotherapy and capacity building. The Cancer Moonshot initiative has already launched over 95 new programs, bolstered by contributions from 170 organizations. 

In the meantime, HealthBuzz introduced Mission CCAP, an awareness campaign on cervical cancer supported by leading doctors.
