Narayana Health has implemented Saviynt Identity Cloud, a cloud-native identity governance platform, to modernize identity security, automate access lifecycle, and enforce regulatory compliance across its 21-hospital network.
Glimpse:
With over 18,000 identities and 17 critical applications (including its homegrown ATHMA EHR), Narayana Health faced significant identity-management challenges. Saviynt’s solution automates user provisioning/deprovisioning, enforces Separation-of-Duties (SoD) policies, and integrates with its EHR, helping streamline access and reduce risk.
Narayana Health, one of India’s leading healthcare networks, has rolled out Saviynt’s Healthcare Identity Cloud to overhaul its identity governance framework. The system supports more than 18,000 user identities across multiple Active Directory domains and 17 mission-critical applications challenges that previously made onboarding and audits cumbersome.
The implementation, completed in just three months, automates the entire identity lifecycle from provisioning to deprovisioning thereby reducing manual overhead and eliminating potential security gaps. Through Saviynt’s Identity Cloud, Narayana enforces SoD policies and governs access via automated workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance and creating audit-ready access trails.
Crucially, Saviynt’s platform integrates deeply with Narayana’s proprietary ATHMA EHR system, enabling secure and governed access to sensitive patient data and workflows. According to Kumar K V, CISO of Narayana Health, the identity cloud is “a blueprint for modern healthcare security,” helping reduce risk while ensuring compliance across its wide hospital network.
“With the Saviynt Identity Cloud, we’ve built a blueprint for modern healthcare security that automates processes, reduces risk and ensures regulatory compliance across our network.”
