Apollo Hospitals has inaugurated a quaternary care facility in Pune (Swargate) that includes over 100 critical care beds equipped with IoT-based monitoring, telemedicine, and app-linked patient services.

Glimpse:

The Pune hospital, which has opened with 250 beds (to expand up to 400), features an advanced digital backbone. Critical-care units are supported by IoT devices to continuously monitor patient vitals, while telemedicine and mobile app access enhance care coordination and real-time patient monitoring.

Apollo Hospitals has strengthened its presence in Maharashtra with the launch of its third facility in the state a cutting-edge 400-bed quaternary care centre in Swargate, Pune. The new hospital, which is opening in phases, begins operations with 250 beds and is set to scale up to its full 400-bed capacity in the coming months.

Designed as a next-generation healthcare destination, the facility features over 100 critical care beds, including advanced high-acuity ICUs. These units are supported by IoT-enabled patient monitoring systems that track vital signs in real time, offering clinicians early warning of patient deterioration and improving the speed and accuracy of interventions.

Beyond its critical care capabilities, Apollo’s newest centre also brings telemedicine integration and a dedicated mobile app for both patients and clinicians. From remote consultations to seamless digital access to health records, the connected ecosystem aims to enhance efficiency and deliver a smoother care experience.

Apollo’s leadership highlights that this expansion is central to its vision of “technology-enabled, high-quality healthcare” especially in a rapidly growing corridor like Pune. By merging advanced medical infrastructure with digital tools, the Swargate facility positions Apollo Hospitals at the forefront of modern, patient-centric care in the region.

“By blending IoT monitoring with telemedicine and app-enabled workflows, our Pune hospital isn’t just expanding capacity it’s redefining how critical care works in a smart hospital environment.”
