Actress Pranitha Subhash has made her debut in Kannada films a decade back. And for last 10 years, she has acted in prominent films in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. This year, she is also making entry into Bollywood with a film called Hungama 2. All these years, she has been praised for her expressive eyes, natural acting skills, impeccable smiling style, and the oomph of glamour quotient. Apart from featuring movies, and brand endorsements, she takes keen interest in social service initiatives. Subhash has been associated with many prominent philanthropic activities in India.

School Adoptions Pranitha has been working towards modernizing public education in Karnataka by adopting schools, and providing them with better infrastructure, and sanitation facilities. Pranitha along with a group of volunteers refurbished an ageing school in Karnataka’s Hassan district. She has been committed to the cause by bringing complete makeover in the infrastructure, and introducing language teachers in the schools. Today, at least 13 such schools have been adopted by various individuals, and has set a precedence to the others.

Ambassador with Election Commission In April 2019, the Election Commission (EC), along with Rahul Dravid, had appointed Pranitha Subhash as a brand ambassador to promote awareness among general public on voting before the 2019 general election in India. The initiative was termed as “State Icons” and aimed to reach out to millions of voters in Karnataka.

Foreign Delegation In 2018, Subhash was a part of the Young South Indian Leaders delegation, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.

Covid Warrior During the Corona pandemic, her Pranitha Foundation has joined hands with The Logical Indian, and Efforts for Good, and formed

an initiative called “Help the Helping Hands” to reach more than 500 families, and have been donating them food supplies, essential commodities, medicines, etc.

Pranitha Foundation so far has done the following services during recent lockdown:

• More than 75,000 meals served to migrants and daily wage workers in 21 days
• 200+ ration kits distributed to jobless members of hairstyle and makeup association
• Hundreds of auto drivers were given sanitizing liquids and transparent sheets were fixed in their auto-rickshaws
• 5000+ masks and sanitizer dispensers were distributed to Bengaluru Police
• Over 150+ ration kits and sanitary pads were distributed for women from marginalized communities
• 500+ families were supported with direct bank transfer during lockdown

Besides exemplary food distribution services, she also did her bit through social awareness video on social distancing, stay home – stay safe, demonstration of hand hygiene according to WHO standards, etc. through her social media handles. With the social bent of mind, Pranitha Subhash is marching in the forefront in the times of pandemic, spreading smiles among grief stricken families, standing as a pillar of support for the needy people, and instilling hope among fellow beings.
