This collaboration aims to enhance manufacturing, research and development, and exports in the medical devices sector.

The MoU is expected to be signed next month, following a site visit and business discussions between Indian and Japanese companies. The partnership will support joint ventures between Indian and Japanese businesses, promoting innovation and supporting the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

At least seven Japanese companies are expected to begin operations at the park after the signing of the MoU. The focus will be on R&D and manufacturing, with the aim of creating new export paths, especially to the Japanese healthcare sector.

This collaboration is seen as a significant step towards strengthening Indo-Japanese cooperation in the healthcare and medical devices sector. The development of the Medical Devices Park is expected to contribute to the growth of India’s medical technology market and advance its goal of being a leader in the development of next-generation healthcare products.

“This partnership with MEJ is transformative for the Medical Devices Park and the 'Make in India' program. It will promote innovation in India and support the establishment of a strong healthcare manufacturing ecosystem.”
