FUJIFILM India has strengthened regional healthcare infrastructure in Siliguri by installing a next-generation APERTO Lucent Open MRI system at the Mother Care Center, a key referral facility serving North Bengal and neighbouring states. The advanced MRI unit combines precision imaging with a patient-centric design, offering a True OPEN Bore architecture that creates a more comfortable less confined  experience for patients who may feel anxious during conventional MRI scans.

Equipped with a 0.4T permanent magnet, the APERTO Lucent delivers stable, high-clarity imaging while maintaining lower operating cost and ease of use for clinicians. Its IP-RAPID technology accelerates image acquisition without compromising diagnostic detail, helping medical teams promptly diagnose complex conditions across a range of specialties, including neurology, orthopaedics, cardiology and oncology. 

Siliguri serves as a healthcare hub for a sprawling region that includes North Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and parts of the North-East, where access to advanced diagnostic imaging has historically been limited or uneven. By bringing high-precision MRI closer to patients’ homes, the new installation aims to reduce travel burdens, shorten wait times for imaging appointments and enhance early detection ultimately improving clinical outcomes and patient experience in a region with large catchment needs.
