NABH Names Former Wockhardt Hospitals CEO Dr. Parag R. Rindani as Chief Executive

The hospital accreditation body under the Quality Council of India wants to take patient-safety standards to grassroots facilities.
The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), part of the Quality Council of India (QCI), has appointed Dr. Parag R. Rindani as its Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Rindani has more than 30 years of experience in hospital operations, clinical strategy, quality management and accreditation.
Career
He previously served as CEO of Wockhardt Hospitals, overseeing operations, administration and clinical strategy, and earlier as the group's Vice President and Regional Head. He has also been Corporate Head of Medical Services at Sterling Hospitals, where he directed medical services, nursing and accreditation frameworks.
Priorities
Dr. Rindani said his role is an opportunity to take patient-safety and quality principles to grassroots communities so that safe care reaches every citizen.
NABH accreditation is increasingly linked to empanelment and reimbursement under government schemes and private insurance, making the board's standards central to how hospitals in India are assessed.
