Neuberg and NM Medical Join Forces to Build One Integrated Diagnostics Network Across Maharashtra
Five lab and imaging brands — from radiology and cardiology to genomics and pathology — will now work as a single platform led by Dr. Nilesh Shah.
Chennai-based Neuberg Diagnostics and Mumbai's NM Medical have combined their Maharashtra businesses into one diagnostics network. Patients and doctors in the state will now deal with a single platform that covers imaging, pathology, genomics and preventive health checks.
Who is coming together
The new Maharashtra platform unites five brands: Neuberg NM Medical, Neuberg Dr Ajay Shah, Neuberg Sehgal, Neuberg OncoPath (led by Dr Jay Mehta) and Neuberg Star.
Each side brings different strengths. NM Medical is known for advanced radiology, cardiology and preventive wellness, built up over more than 40 years. Neuberg adds deep laboratory science, including genomics, metabolomics, proteomics, digital pathology, immunohistochemistry, molecular diagnostics, and specialist kidney and nerve pathology.
Why combine imaging and lab tests?
Doctors often have to piece together a diagnosis from a scan done at one centre and blood or tissue tests done at another. The partners say that bringing imaging, pathology, molecular tests and genomics under one roof will give clinicians a fuller picture of each patient. That, in turn, should support earlier detection, quicker treatment decisions and better follow-up of chronic conditions.
Neuberg founder and chairman Dr. G.S.K. Velu said the aim is to give doctors deeper, more actionable insights while making the experience smoother for patients. NM Medical chairman Dr. Nilesh Shah said the tie-up creates "an integrated continuum of diagnostic and preventive care".

Longevity clinics on the way
The combined network was unveiled in Mumbai by cricketer MS Dhoni, together with Atlas, Neuberg's new longevity and wellness programme. Atlas pairs diagnostics and imaging with genomics and personalised health reports. Its first centre opens at NM Medical's Marine Lines branch, with other major Indian cities to follow.
Scale of the group
Neuberg operates in India, the UAE, South Africa and the USA. It says its labs are accredited by CAP and NABL, offer more than 6,000 types of tests and process over 30 million tests a year across a network of more than 250 laboratories in India. The group plans to keep expanding in Maharashtra through diagnostic centres, labs, wellness centres and collection points.
