4baseCare Partners with Chennai's Cancer Institute (WIA) on Genomic Testing

The tie-up brings tumour genomic profiling closer to patients and is 4baseCare's first lab collaboration with a Chennai cancer centre.
Bengaluru-based precision oncology company 4baseCare has partnered with the Cancer Institute (WIA), Chennai, to widen access to advanced genomic testing for cancer patients.
The collaboration combines the institute's cancer care services with 4baseCare's genomic profiling, which helps oncologists understand a tumour's characteristics and identify possible targeted therapies. It is 4baseCare's first laboratory collaboration with a cancer centre in Chennai.
Dr. Kalpana Balakrishnan, Medical Director and CEO of the Cancer Institute, said bringing genomic testing closer to patients would strengthen the role of molecular insights in cancer care.
Funding and expansion
4baseCare recently closed a ₹128 crore Series B round that included fresh capital from growX Ventures and Infosys. It plans to expand its genomics lab network and scale its AI-driven OncoTwin platform.
