Organisers and guests
The event was organised by Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) and the Sudha Reddy Foundation. Panchayat Raj Minister Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka), Telangana DGP C.V. Anand, MEIL Managing Director P.V. Krishna Reddy, foundation founder Sudha Reddy and US Consul General Laura Williams were among those present.
Speakers urged women to go for regular screening and to treat physical activity as part of everyday health. Sudha Reddy asked participants to carry the message of early detection to their families and communities.
Why early detection matters
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in India, and doctors say many cases are still detected late. October is observed worldwide as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
